General woodworking equipment

Does anybody have prior expierence with General woodworking equipment? Their plant is in Canada and they claim a lifetime warranty on all of their equipment. Specifically, I am looking to buy a 14" bandsaw and a 8" jointer from them. I have spoken with a factory representative and he said each machine is made one at a time and that there is no assembly line, so I might have to wait for my order

---------------------

-I wasconsidering the General bandsaw until I discovered that it did not have a dust shute. I bought a Kity instead and have been very pleased with it and with the company that sold it to me. There was abit of a problem with the blade guides which they took care of.

-I have a General Jointer (12"). I bought it used. I LOVE IT. Built like a brick house (850lbs). Each table has level adjustments on each corner
(8 in all) so no worries of cast iron sag here. Can do rabbiting. Loads of power (I'm sure if you wanted to and could push the board, you could take a
3/8" cut in a single pass). My unit is probably from the fifties or sixties and other than minor table top rust (lack of use before I bought it) is still an excellent machine. If I could only find the matching 20" planer on the used market.
