 | Cub Scout Space Derby - need hints |
|
My 7 year old Cub Scout just finished making his first space
ship / rocket from a block of balsa wood for the upcoming Cub
Scout Space Derby. Lots of whittling, lots of sanding, great fun
working in dad's shop. His rocket is, well, of his own making.
Since he will be competing against rockets made primarily by
dads, I'd like to consider improving his rocket without altering
the, shall we say, unique aerodynamic styling. Any hints /
suggestions (things to do with the rubber bands, propeller,
etc.)?

-It might be a little late for this year's cub scout derby, but one of the packs
in my city has a derby for the dads and the real one for the scouts. Everyone
gets to play. -I sudgest that you have a catigory for rockets created by dads. We always
did that for pine wood derby cars. It seems to make it easier for the
dads to keep there hands off of the boys car.
