 | Popular vs Fine Woodworking |

Which magazine should I subscribe to? Is Fineww really worth its
unreasonable price?
---------------------
-. Unreasonable price? You've just hit on the crux of the
problem. If you've looked the magazines over and can still label the price
of FIne WoodWorking unreasonable then you should probably go with Popular
Woodworking. I'm not trying to be a jokester. Personally, I do find Fine Woodworking too
pricey for its contents. The thing is, though, that it's through reading
the better magazines (Fine Woodworking or American Woodworker) that you are
more likely to improve your skills. It just depends on what you want and
where you are at in your progression. -Read a couple of issues of both and you'll find which suits what you
want to read about and learn. I'm more interested in getting project
ideas and "practical" use items than fine art furniture. In my
opinion, Fine Woodworking leans toward the latter. I cancelled my Fine Woodworking Subscription and only buy it when I
notice something on the cover that I might be interested in.
