Where to buy woodworking tools in Silicon Valley

I am getting interested in woodworking and am trying to find out what/where is available in the Silicon Valley, San Jose, Santa Clara, CA area. I am looking for woodworking classes, woodworking tools and other materials. I have visited Home Depot and Orchard Hardware Suppies, but am wondering if there aren't any stores that specialize in woodworking. Any suggestions? Names and phone number of good catalogues would be great too.
