I am a carpenter. However I have been in the house, deck and remodeling end
of the business. Would like to get started with woodworking and furniture
building. I have a nice set of Rigid woodworking tools. However, all of
the plans and info I have found seems a little to far advanced for me.
Anyone have any suggestions or websites for a new woodworking.
---------------------
-You can do a search for "woodworking" and find a lot of info. However, like
most of us, the public library was the ABSOLUTE BEST source for plans, tool
requirements, and skill levels. Still go back every couple of months and
check out what's available. -My husband and I are in the same position and swear by The New Yankee
Workshop. We watch Norm on tv every morning and you can find his website
at: http://www.newyankee.com/ -You can try the plans (free and fee) and over 1560 article URLs which
can be found here: http://209.122.88.33/index.htm Plan Search for over 500 furniture and
similar projects. Article Search for over 1560 jigs, fixtures,
workbenches, router tables, etc. AND general and specific articles on
woodworking.
