Leigh Woodworking Jigs

Recently I have been blessed or maybe cursed not sure just which yet , to have acquired a Leigh Jig (24" Model) as a gift from a very dear friend. Are there any classes in the Dallas Texas area anyone knows of that teaches the basics of this tool? I think it would be easier to have it demonstrated than to have to learn all the different setups on the different thickness of lumber. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated.

---------------------

I just purchased the Leigh jig last Friday. By carefully following the manual, I had completed two boxes by Saturday afternoon. The manual is incredibly well written. The bottom line is that making perfect dovetails takes practice and experience, regardless of the jigs involved. I've taken classes and while they can make you understand the big picture, experience is the only real way to become good at this method of joinery.

My opinion is that between their included video and the manual, you should be making gorgeous dovetails in no time. I think you'd be wasting money on a class, assuming that such an animal existed.
