 | Unusual Woodworking Techniques |

I have a website that documents techniques to do things easier, faster or
better at www.efbetter.com. Do you have any unusual woodworking tips, tricks
or techniques that you'd be willing to contribute?

-Starting Wood Screws Sometimes you can start wood screws by banging on them with a hammer to
make a dent in the wood, and then start turning. This way, you don't
have to drill a pilot hole first. " Not exactly the kind of "time saving tip" that someone from a fine
woodworking group can exactly embrace with whole-hearted enthusiasm.
OTOH, the tip for putting lubricant on screws (wax, etc.) was
reasonable. -That guy was over in alt.architecture a few days ago making a similar
request to his site.
Is this stuff considered spam?
How may pop-ups were there?
