Would somebody explain what the "Woodworking Channel" is all about. I've
seen recent references to it and AAW woodturning, but with WebTv, I get
what the little boy shot at.

WindowsMediaPlayer -and- Flip4Mac -http://www.thewoodworkingchannel.com/ The audio is extremely poor, and you better have a fast connection.
But even with no audio, it's still more appealing than watching
Microsoft MSDN Webcasts.
